AS – Environmental Studies

Introduction to Environmental Studies 

I took AQA AS Environmental Studies in 2013, so again notes might be a little out of date.

Reasons to take Environmental Studies:

1. Interlinks very well with Geography, Biology and in some topics Chemistry too (it also helped in AS General Studies)
2. Very good for those interested in nature and considering wildlife conservation as  career
3. There is no coursework
4. I found it to be a very interesting and enjoyable subject

Warnings!

• It is not a “doss” subject, like any AS it requires a lot of work to get a good grade
• Lots of people in my class took it because they thought it would be easy and had no better options, therefore at times it was difficult to concentrate
• Some universities blacklist ES so check before taking it
